Description

This module can collect and manage microwatt (µW) to milliwatt (mW) power generated from various DC sources such as photovoltaic (solar) generators or thermoelectric generators. It can efficiently obtain energy from low-voltage output harvesters such as thermoelectric generators (TEG) or one or two solar panels. The boost converter can be started with a VIN as low as 330mV, and after startup, it can continue to harvest energy with a VIN as low as 80mV.

Features:

The module can collect tiny energy and store it in an external lithium battery or super capacitor. When the battery is charged to a predetermined voltage, the module will output a signal to start the external load, and the external system will start to work. When the energy input of the module is greater than the output of the module, the battery will continue to charge; if the energy input of the module is less than the output of the module (load energy consumption), the battery will supply power to the load. This module has overcharge and overdischarge protection functions for lithium batteries. The module itself has self-protection functions when overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating.

Interface definition

1. Vin: Module power input pin. It can be connected to the positive input of the thermoelectric power generation sheet, the positive input of the solar power generation panel and other power supplies.

Operating voltage range: 0.08V-3.0V, cold start voltage 0.33V. The module withstand voltage range is 0-5.5V.

2. GND: module ground, connected to the negative input of the power supply

4. V_out: Module positive output, the output voltage is 2.75V-4.2V. When the voltage at BAT+ is over 4V, V_out starts to output, and the output voltage is equal to BAT+. When the BAT voltage drops below 2.75V, the output is turned off.

5. BAT+: external lithium battery (single cell) or super capacitor positive interface. The module will charge and discharge the external lithium battery through this pin. Output voltage 0-4.2V

6. GND: module ground, external lithium battery (single cell) or super capacitor negative port.
